Dear all,
Following the acquisition of Esperient Creator by Simulation Synthesis Ltd, there will be changes to the prices and current product offerings. These product and price changes will enable us to better support our customers.
Price and Offering changes
Creator Standard Edition ($500) will be discontinued and the company's efforts will focus on the further development of Creator Enterprise Edition for Esperient's visualization, training and simulation customers.
Creator Enterprise will be re-priced at $2,995 with immediate effect and an academic version will continue to be available at an unchanged prices of $350.
Existing customer subscriptions, upgrades and price savings
Customers with valid subscriptions will receive continuing support and be entitled to upgrade to Esperient Creator 4.0 on release at the same price of their original subscription upgrade price of $390.
Customers with lapsed subscriptions who wish to renew their subscription can do so for a limited time at a price of $500. This subscription renewal offer price will be only available until 31 March, 2010.
Potential customers who have downloaded the software recently for evaluation purposes will also be able to take advantage of the limited time offer to purchase licenses at $500 until 31 March, 2010.
These subscription offers enable our customers to save at least $2,495 on the future pricing of Esperient Creator. They also enable customers who purchased the $500 version of the product to decide whether to continue with Creator or choose other products which help them fulfill their aims and goals.
The Future of Creator
The release of Esperient Creator 4.0 is still several months away.and development work is continuing. However we want our customers to be as informed as possible and we wish to garner your feedback on our plans. We will host a series of customer seminars in March 2010 where we describe the goals and aims for the future of Creator and the Esperient Platform.
We are currently going through a continuing process of restructuring Creator that is intended to occur over four phases (not releases) and addresses fundamental improvements in workflow, UI, performance and integration capabilities. Esperient Creator 3.7 is part of Phase I and you will have seen elements of some of the changes in terms of transform changes and part of the initial Smart Objects infrastructure. The seminars will address some of our goals and aims for the future phases of development.
I will be writing to all customers over the next couple of days with details of their current subscriptions and options for upgrading.
